E-vignette and toll can also be paid with a UTA fuel card

UTA fuel card owners can purchase e-vignettes and route passes via the sales channels of the Road Infrastructure Agency (RIA). Until now, drivers were able to use bank cards or fuel cards of Shell Bulgaria EAD, as well as pay for tolls in cash.
The Road Infrastructure Agency concluded a contract with the German company UTA in March, after which the company successfully underwent the procedure for achieving interoperability with the electronic toll system. According to the General Terms and Conditions, the contract enters into force after successful demonstration of the interoperability of the offered fuel cards with the RIA electronic system and a bank guarantee submitted.
Payments with individual fuel cards are made through POS terminals in the regional road offices, at the sales counters at the Kalotina, Gyueshevo, Stanke Lisichkovo, Kulata, Ilinden, Kapitan Andreevo, Danube Bridge at Ruse, Danube Bridge 2 at Vidin and Silistra border checkpoints, and at the self-charging terminals.
